The Scarab
An Egyptian symbol for regeneration and resurrection. Scarabs worn as jewelry or amulets
were believed to ensure recreation, immortality and symbolizes the evolution of the soul
through eternity.
This was painted for Linda Latour, when
she was fighting lung cancer. She
passed away on July 20, 2004 after a
brief but courageous battle.

I designed my scarab tattoo with red exterior
and red-violet interior. This permanent mark
represents the people in my life who have
battled personally or have loved ones who
suffered from cancer.
